STVFD regrets to announce the passing of Chief James L. "Jimmy" Carter
NewsDecember 7, 2011
It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Chief James L. "Jimmy" Carter. Chief Carter was the first Fire Chief of the Seminole Trail VFD and served in that capacity for 10 years. He was the man who set the foundation that made Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department what it is today. It was his steady demeanor that enabled STVFD to overcome many obstacles in our early years. He will be sorely missed.
RIP Chief
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Peggy Carter during this trying time.

NewsSeminole Trail Vol. Fire Department is teaming up with the Albemarle County Fire and Rescue Department Prevention Division and Domino’s Pizza to provide rewards for families with working smoke alarms.
On Wed., Oct. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m., a number of randomly-selected orders from the Domino’s store in the Seminole Ln. shopping center will have their order delivered by firefighters.

Wearing short or close-fitting sleeves when cooking on the stovetop may show foresight. This and other simple actions may be all it takes to prevent devastating burns.
