Reduced Structure Fire
E85, TO88, E5

Engine 85 and Tower 88 were first in on a reduced structure fire at the Rio Hill Apartment complex. ECC Fire dispatch advised a dryer fire was reported with smoke in the apartment. E85 arrived with nothing showing, however as the crew made it's way to the third floor apartment they found smoke issuing from the apartment door. Tower 88 positioned on the address and began setting up for potential aerial operations and threw a ground ladder to the third floor. The Engine crew pulled a 2" attack line to the third floor and prepared to enter the smoke charged apartment. E5 arrived and set up a 4" water supply to E85. After a quick knockdown of the dryer fire the apartment was opened up and forced ventilation begun. Units cleared the scene in just under one hour.
