MVC with extrication
M121, E121, E81, E85, S133

STVFD C crew ran an early morning extrication on 29 South @ Ashwood Blvd. One priority red entrapped reported by ACPD on scene. The compact SUV was found over the guardrail, resting against a traffic signal pole. It was quickly stabilized using cribbing and ARTs, then hydraulic tools from E121 and E81 were used to remove the driver's door, rear driver
side door, and remove the roof. An active fuel leak had a crew manning the hose line off E81 on alert during the entire extrication. The patient was expediently removed and transported by M121, arriving at the UVA ED less than one hour from dispatch of the call.
