Engine 81 and Tower 88 arrived minutes after 1st due E6 for a
reported structure fire at the Farmington Country Club.
E6 arrived and was directed to a laundry building
in the rear of the main structure. As they pulled up the found
a 1 story building with a basement and smoke showing from the roof
area. There was a report of a dryer on fire in the building.
E6 advanced a 1 3/4" line to the interior as Chief 50 arrived
to take command. E6 had its own hydrant directly in front of
the building and command ordered E81 to back in to E6 location
and prepare to lay out to a secondary hydrant if necessary.
TO88 was unable to access the building and staged back on
the main road. TO88 crew assisted E6 with overhaul and ventilation
of the primary room as E81's crew checked other attached offices
and ventilated those areas as well. The fire was contained
mostly to the dryer and all units were in service within 1 hour of arrival.
