STVFD units were dispatched for a single vehicle MVC at the intersection of Rio Road and Rt. 29. Medic 121 (Hollymead) was returning to quarters from a previous run and arrived just moments after the accident occurred. Engines 82 & 85 arrived just minutes after dispatch and were assisted by E121 minutes later as they were in the area. Medic 121 had a single patient entrapped and in cardiac arrest. Engine Company personnel performed a rapid extrication and resuscitation efforts began. Unfortunately the patient could not be revived.
