Why come by for a ride-along
Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department (STVFD, aka Station 8) is a volunteer fire station. Our members, about 70 active firefighters, volunteer over 20 hours a week of their time to serve our community.
We strongly encourage everyone to come see who we are, and what we do. From Chief 80, down to the newly released fire fighter, we have a strong tradition of welcoming, and responding to the community we operate in.
People living in our first due (i.e. our primary response area) are our top priority. However, we also realize that bonds and responsibilities are growing, and we welcome anyone, including foreign nationals, to come spend time with us to see how we serve our community.
In short, if you have any interest in seeing what firefighters do, contact us. Check out this page: Ride Along Notes. We enjoy explaining how and why we do the things we do.
Come find out more. You might even find you want to join our family.
